Provided by Sasha Transport Inc, at no extra cost, "valuation" liability is NOT insurance, is mandated by the US Department of Transportation and values all lost or damaged household goods at sixty cents per pound per item (thirty cents per pound per item on local moves).

You should note that this often does not cover the actual replacement cost of your goods so read on. 

For instance, if a ten pound personal computer worth $500 were lost or destroyed,

you would only receive $3 - $6 (30¢ or 60¢ x 10 lbs.).

Replacement Value Insurance

This type of insurance should cover you for the full true replacement value of your goods. 

If you have renters or homeowner's insurance, you may already be covered or may be able to purchase an  inexpensive rider - check with your insurance agent.
